It’s worse than we thought. President Trump is expected to include a 50% cut to the United Nations in his budget proposal tomorrow (Thursday, March 16). UNA leaders across the country lit up the White House switch board earlier this year when it seemed likely the President would introduce an Executive Order cutting UN funding by 40%. That time the Administration backed down, but this time our voice will need to be even louder. Join us to hear Peter Yeo, President of the Better World Campaign, outline President Trump’s proposal, next steps for Congress, and immediate actions you can take to protect American leadership at the UN.

Under Yeo’s leadership, the Foundation helped ensure multibillion dollar payments from the U.S. government to the UN; forged a strategic alliance with the United Nations Association of the USA to create the largest network of UN supporters across the U.S.; championed U.S. law standing against child marriage with the support of Girl Up; and advanced year-over-year increases in U.S. bilateral and multilateral global health spending.
